Sonia Mason joined Mesa in October 2015 as the Company’s Director of Human Resources. She brings more than 15 years of human resources, benefits, employee relations and labor relations management expertise, garnered from years of leadership and experience. Sonia most recently served as the Human Resources Manager of Celerion, Inc., a global clinical research company.

Sonia developed her most substantial experience during her eight year stint directing labor relations matters for the 117 stores comprising the Phoenix Division of Safeway, Inc. In her role as a Safeway Labor Relations Manager, she advised company leadership on union collective bargaining matters, oversaw application of the collective bargaining agreement, and represented management in responding to union grievances. Her earliest human resources experience came from her work as in human resources with two separate companies in Tempe – first with Oberg Arizona, Inc. and, later, with Parker Hannifin, Inc. between 2000 and 2005.

Sonia earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from University of Phoenix and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resources Certification Institute. In addition, she holds a Human Resources Management Certification.
