Director of Quality Assurance – Chief Inspector
Mesa Airlines, Inc.

A native from Montana, Dean Sinerius worked with Mesa as the Director of Technical Program from 2006 – 2011 before leaving for California to work on a “start-up” airline project. Returning to Mesa Airlines in 2015 as a consultant for Technical Operations, Dean was asked to assume the role as Manager of Technical Records in 2016 and has since assumed the role as the Director of Quality Assurance and Chief Inspector in July of 2018.

His career has spanned 42 years & encompassed a variety of roles starting with the United States Navy as a P-3 Flight Engineer in 1976, followed by 19 years with Northwest Airlines as a Mechanic in Line and Heavy Maintenance before being promoted into several leadership roles that included Maintenance Planning, Programs, Maintenance Control, FAA Liaison and leading the implementation of the company maintenance computer tracking system (Trax). Over the course of his career, Dean has also served in a leadership capacity for GE Aircraft Engines, America West, Frontier Airlines, Horizon Air, and the private executive charter company, Jet Suite.

He holds his Airframe and Powerplant licenses, a degree in Aviation Business Management, a Six Sigma Certification from GE and has attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University & Inver Hills Community College. Mesa Airlines and the Valley of the Sun are a natural fit for Dean who is an avid golfer, tennis player, Triathlete, Cardinals and Suns fan. Dean’s entire family has migrated to the Valley. In addition to his wife of 22 years, this includes 3 sons and 2 grandson’s with another on the way.
